Westerlind Family: The Final Four!!

Yes, there are two ways to talk about this. First, this past weekend marked a great memory for Kyle that he will get to share with Maddy. The year of her birth was the first time Butler Bulldogs made it to the Final Four in the NCAA March Madness!!! It was a thrill to watch and we will be cheering them on this weekend!

Next, we are into our own Final Four here as we count down the final four weeks to our due date. So much has happened to get us to this point where we are excited, nervous, and prayerful. We are so looking forward to holding our daughter in our arms and seeing her for the first time. Who will she look like? What will her temperment be like? Will we be able to cope with no sleep? What will our life be like? It's hard to imagine how drastically our life will change in a matter of hours here in a few weeks. We are "ready" in regards to having "stuff", but are we ready for this life changing event that awaits us? Yes we are. We are ready because we have each other, our family, our friends, and most importantly, we have God. Only He knows how this will play out and what our life will look like down the road, but we are excited to see what He has in store for us, and pray that we will continue to seek His will in all that we do. Madelyn is already loved so much and Kyle and I take time to pray for her as we go to bed each night. We pray for her continued growth and safety and hope that she will become an amazing woman of God. We are excited to have our family and friends continue on this journey with us into parenthood.

Last week, Ali was on Spring Break from work, and she and her mom were able to get the room finished and cross off many of the items on her to-do list. Below are pictures of the room:

We've also had some very nice Baby Showers. Ali's Bible Study friends threw one for her, as did her PEO group. We also had a co-ed family baby shower (pictures below) and a TriWest baby shower. They were all so fun and we feel so blessed.
